Compatibility & boundaries
Installation options
Native bundles provide Windows and Linux launchers with Java 21; Docker targets Linux containers. See deployment requirements and compatibility for OS and Java patch versions, Docker/Compose, five platform databases, browser scope, node roles and capacity settings. Recorded runtime samples are distinguished from capacity recommendations.
Platform database versus task resources
The platform database stores definitions, history and coordination state. Configuration covers SQLite, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server and Oracle; SQLite is single-instance only. Task database connections are configured separately as resources.

Deployment and execution boundaries
- Clusters require appropriate shared database and node configuration. Two processes on one host do not provide physical high availability.
- Stop, timeout and retry do not automatically roll back external side effects. Plan idempotency and verify business results.
- Message acknowledgements and target writes have distinct boundaries; universal exactly-once behavior is not promised.
- A configurable database or protocol is not proof that every version and combination has been tested.
- Driver inclusion in public bundles depends on their final licenses and component inventories.
